Membership and Honors
In recent years Nepal Medical Association has become a member of the National Development Council. Likewise, the association has been awareded Tobacco or Health Medal in 1993 by WHO for it's excellent awareness campaign against the ill effects of the tobacco within the kingdom.

Facilities for Members
Accidental Insurance
Nepal Medical Association has arranged for collective accident insurance of Rs.100, 000/- (In words One hundred thousand) for its life members in case of death and permanent disability. Since 25th February 2000, in addition to the above mentioned, the insurance also covers temporary disability. In this way the life members can utilize the comprehensive Accident Insurance. All the life members are automatically enrolled in this scheme.
