NMA stand up for doctors individually and collectively
Nepal Medical Association (NMA) is a non-profit national professional organization of Medical and Dental Doctors in Nepal. Established on 20th Falgun, 2007 BS (4th March, 1951) with a few as 20 members, it has evolved into a large organization with more than ten thousand members under it's umbrella. The Founder President of the NMA was Dr. Siddhi Mani A. Dixit. It has the honour of being the first professional organization of the nation. NMA has been playing an important role in the development of medical science and is acting as a linkage between the government and the medical professionals. The current 29th NMA Executive was elected in 2023 February 07 with Dr. Anil Bikram Karki and Dr. Sanjeeb Tiwari as President and General Secretary respectively.

NMA Branches
There are total number of 16 branches currently. All the Districts and Province state are associated with the related areas branch. The problems and neccesities are addressed to related branch. Each and every final judgement with plans and policies, related activities will be provided by NMA Central Office.
Societies
There are total number of 36 societies associated with NMA. They are umbrella organization under NMA. All the societies are provided with different speciality office in our own building.
NMA JDC
JDC stands for Junior Doctor's Committee. It is under the part of NMA. JDC provides a unique opportunity to share ideas, knowledge, experience, information and news to improve and develop the personal and professional lives of all junior doctors in Nepal.
NMA Scholarship
NMA is providing scholarship for different needy scholars with different Trust. Currently Mathura Ratna is providing the scholarship to different MBBS medical student.
JNMA Trainings
JNMA is internationally peer-reviewed , Pubmed indexed , General medical Journal of Nepal Medical Association. It is first and oldest medical journal from Nepal since 1963 AD. JNMA is providing training, courses, manuals, article peer review and publication process in different topics with medical professionals regularly. JNMA is publishing its Montly issue with pubmed index.
